Dancing

There are many opportunities to dance with Times Squares and our sister clubs in and around New York City and across the country.

Times Squares hosts a weekly dance called a Club Night, and a monthly dance called a Combo Dance. Once a year we hold a fly-in, called Peel the Pumpkin, where dancers from the region fly in and join us for a dance weekend.

Times Squares belongs to the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs (IAGSDC), which sponsors an annual convention hosted by a different member club each year. The IAGSDC maintains a list of member’s websites where you can find schedules for their regularly scheduled dances and events.

We also belong to the Northern New Jersey Square Dance Association (NNJSDA). They sponsor monthly dances and an annual Mini-Fest. Their calendar lists members’ regularly scheduled dance events.

The Times Squares event calendar includes scheduling information not only for our own events, but for those frequented by many of our members. Our Dancing Around page offers more detailed information about dancing with other clubs. Please confirm the information with the local club as dates, times and venues change frequently.

No matter where you travel across the country or around the world, you will find Modern Western American square dancers.
