Pride Square Dance 2019

Friday June 28 at 7:00 pm 10:00 pm

Times Squares celebrates the Stonewall 50 commemoration by hosting this special square dance event. Held on the exact day of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, the event expects square dancers from all over the globe to join in the festivities. Dancing will take place in Hounds Square at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, which has a capacity of 250 dancers. So be sure to register ahead of time since we have to limit the number of dancers.

We are excited that Anne Uebelacker will be calling for us, and she will call Mainstream through Advanced with C1 star tips. There will be three hours of square dancing but we will intersperse beginner’s instructions with regular dancing during the first hour, 7-8pm. We welcome new dancers to experience the energetic fun dancing as well as the friendly environment of LGBTQ+ square dancing. Beginning dancers are welcome to dance with us for free.
