How long have you been a member of Times Squares?

I graduated in the fall of 2018

Why did you join? Who convinced you?

I am a longtime Scottish country dancer and dance with Hila Lenz at Royal Scottish Country Dance Society . My late uncle Joe Reid, was a square dance caller in Missouri for many years. Chip Prince, a pianist for country dance and musical theater and sometime dancer, highly recommended Times Squares, as did Sue Trapp.

Where did you grow up? What brought you to New York City?

Mississippi and Texas. The arts lured me here.

What is your professional career?

For 18 years, I have been an executive assistant, helping boards and senior leaders in fintech, the arts, education and healthcare.

What is something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?

Until recently. dog daddy to elderly mini schnauzer, Norm Crosby (like the late comedian.) He has passed away.

Who inspires you?

People who make a positive difference — often very quietly.

What else do you enjoy beyond square dancing?

Had an early show biz start – doing an ABC TV special with Lesley Gore, the Muppets, Soupy Sales (later a midtown neighbor) and the First Edition. Has also appeared with Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Renee Fleming, Philip Glass, Martin Sheen, Christopher Walken, Tatyana Troyanos, Allen Ginsberg, Laurie Beechman, and many others.

What are you reading/watching?

John Oliver, Abbott Elementary and Call the Midwife. Murder mysteries and history.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be?

The grandfather who died before I was born, Anthony Fauci, and Bishop Marian Edgar Budde.
