Membership

Membership in the Times Squares is open to anyone who has learned the Mainstream program as defined by Callerlab, and who supports the purpose of the club. We do not discriminate with respect to membership on any basis, and welcome all to participate in dancing with us. There are specifically no restrictions on sexual orientation or gender identity. Everyone is welcome to join.

Membership allows you to vote at the annual meeting usually held in early January and to be listed in our membership directory.

If you have not yet learned the Mainstream program, we encourage you to visit our Classes & Workshops page. New graduates of the Mainstream Blast Weekend receive a free year of membership.

If you have mastered the Mainstream program and would like to join or renew your membership in Times Squares, please provide payment here and an online membership form will be provided to you.

Each membership year runs from Annual Meeting to Annual Meeting. and annual membership dues are $65; $60 if paid prior to the Annual Meeting. Your dues cover the following expenses: mailings, publicity, liability insurance, internet services, association dues, and the purchase and maintenance of equipment. We also provide a partial subsidy for classes and workshops with low enrollment, as well as offering scholarships to those in financial need.

A Membership Directory is maintained for the use of members only. People are listed on the roster only if they choose to be, and can opt out of showing specific information (e.g., home address) by indicating this on the registration form.

The club also encourages members to post profiles on the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs (IAGSDC) website. This allows our members to post photos of themselves if they wish. You will need to register with IAGDSC to create/update your profile.
