It seems an eternity since we were last together, square dancing in person. Life was good then, wasn;t it? With the severity of the pandemic gradually falling behind us, it’s time to look forward to a brighter future.
And so, here at Peel the Pumpkin Headquarters, we are busy dusting off our event planning hats, rolling up our sleeves, and getting down to the business of organizing the next Peel the Pumpkin fly-in. Scheduled for October 22-24, 2021, “Weave the Ring Cycle” will be an opera-themed weekend, with Betsy Gotta and Sandie Bryant providing some dramatic calling. There are so many great characters from the opera genre that may inspire you wear something très spectaculaire for the Saturday night costume parade. Who will be the best Queen of the NIght? Mimi? Carmen? Pagliaccio? Siegfried? or whatever character you choose. We know some of you are very creative!
The event has returned to the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Fort Lee, New Jersey. You may remember the excellent full buffet dinner served there on Saturday night, as well as the swimming pool where some silly and fun square dancing happens late in the evening.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have established some health and safety protocols, including required proof of vaccination.
